Miracles in GB

It was a wonderful week here in Great Bend! We saw lots of miracles and progression this week.

Cheryl is still doing well and is very excited for her baptism. She came to church on Sunday even though she was feeling a little ill. She says she wants to talk to the bishop about starting a ward choir. It's cool to see the change already in the family. Gemma (her three year old daughter) was very upset when Cheryl came home from church because Cheryl didn't take her to church (she said something like "You went to church without me?!"

Maddie progressed very well this week as well. She has now accepted a baptismal date for the 17th of September and is excited for that. She already has received permission for her parents and we have two appointments with her this week so we can teach her all the lessons before that date. She's an awesome youth!

We also met this very cool family this week, the Miranda Family. They are from Puerto Rico and look a little rough and tough, but they're the nicest people you could meet. They always offer us food and water. They met with sister missionaries several years back in Great Bend and even attended the church once.

It was an awesome week full of miracles. In Sunday school we were talking about how we have to recognize the miracles that happen in our lives and how some miracles we will never ever forget. I think sometimes it's easy to think, "There are so many people and so many worse off than me, why would God take the time to worry and think about me?" But I know now that he does think of me and each of us and his hand is in our lives. This is the testimony I've gained from the miracle I've experienced of being transferred back to Great Bend.

Love you all. Have a great week and a great Labor Day! Élder Connor Waldrón
