This weekend Jose and Jessica were baptized. They have been so fun to teach! They are 13 and 11 respectively. They are kids of a recent convert (1.5 years). Usually they live in Tennessee with their mom but they came to visit their dad and step-mom for the summer and they wanted to be baptized (and their dad wanted them to be baptized too).

The Elders were referred to them one day before I was transferred here, so I have been here for the whole experience.

It was such a sweet service. Both of them after they were baptized hugged their dad. Hermano Alarcon (their dad) asked Jose how he felt afterwards and he said good. And when Jessica was hugging her dad in the font, she said, "I love you daddy!"

They were very excited to be baptized and now they are very excited to go to church and learn. They have never been in a church environment before so this has been all new for them. It was fun when we taught them the story of David and Goliath.

Hermano Alarcon said that he's contacted some people in Tennessee so they can get rides to church when the go back in the fall.

President and Sister McCuistion came to the baptism and they were both very pleased and happy about the service.

It was a good week.
