Fui al templo!

Hello Family and Friends!

It was such a glorious wonderful week!

I went to Guymon this week on exchanges! It was so great (and a little nostalgic) being back there. What made it even more nostalgic is that I was on exchanges with Elder Wallis who was also trained by Elder Rojas! I was able to see recent converts Gerdardo and Eliseo (Eliseo was baptized while I was Guymon) and it was great. They are struggling to be active in the church, but they still have testimonies! They were so excited to see me, when Eliseo came out of his room he said something like, "Oh! What a miracle!" I think the visit helped them a lot and they said they were going to go to church next week when they have work off. They also fed us dinner and sent us off with candy!

On Wednesday we were able to go to the Oklahoma City Temple! It was great, it was the first time I have been able to go my entire mission and it was a wonderful learning opportunity where I felt so peaceful. Also, my old companion, Elder Hosenfeld, who had to go home for medical things while we were in Great Bend is selling pest control in Oklahoma right now so he came with us through the temple. It was fun to see him again.

Anyway, I was only in this area half of the week, but we still saw miracles come to pass.

Last night we were teaching Lisa when one of her friends, Christy, came in. We had challenged Christy to read the Book of Mormon before and Lisa had given her her favorite chapter to read. Well this was the first time we had seen her since then and she told us that the chapter was too confusing so we gave her a different chapter (3 Nephi 11 when Christ appears in the Americas). She left and a couple minutes later she came back and was like, "why did you give me this chapter," apparently when she opened the book to start reading she turned right to exact page number and had a super powerful feeling. She was like, "I'm meant to read this." Then she left again to go read it. Her kids are really interested in the gospel too and we are going to take them a children's Book of Mormon tonight.

A little background on Christy that's pretty cool is that her boyfriend (the father to some of her kids) is a Mormon from Oklahoma and his family is very active in the church. Last night she said the that she has thought that it's been really awesome to see Lisa change since she was baptized and we invited her to pray about being baptized!

Other events, we are still teaching Peggy and it's going well. She won't be able to be baptized on the 25th because she missed church and other things, but we're still teaching and progressing her.

Love ya'll thanks for everything! Élder Connor Waldrón
