Mother's Day Week

Hello world and all those who inhabit it, I hope you all had a great week. I had the wonderful opportunity this week to see so many hearts be humbled and prepared for the gospel as well as talking to my mom (and other family members). This week April, the recent convert, was in Wichita taking care of some business and personal matters. Even though she was gone though, we continued to teach her daughter Hannah and that was great. She's had trouble finding time to read from the Book of Mormon because she's hardly ever home and she doesn't like carrying around the physical book. So, miraculously, she got a new phone this week and was able to download the gospel library app so she can have the Book of Mormon with her wherever she goes. And she was excited to make her mom jealous with the app as well. As well we saw April at the end of the week when she came back and her other daughter Adrianna. Adrianna has gradually warmed up to us ever since we helped clean and dress her cut hand in a gas station parking lot (another story for another time...). Yesterday, actually, Adrianna found out that she was pregnant and she told her mom that she could raise the baby 'a Mormon'. Then April asked her if she was going to be baptized too, which Adrianna responded with, "Well yeah, I've been wanting to quit smoking anyway, and now I have to because I'm pregnant." (or something along those lines). April then invited her to be baptized (on a specific date too!). It was way cool. Within two or three months April is going to move to Wichita. She was deeded a very nice, large home down there where she'll be able to live with her daughters, niece, and future grandchild. It will be a wondrous Latter-day Saint home and we are very happy for her and her family. Another pretty miraculous thing happened this week! On Wednesday night we were at the church. There was a young lady there that we didn't recognize who had come to talk to the bishop. She said that she was a less-active member who recently moved back to area and had attended the Great Bend Ward when she was little. We go talking to her and she found out that we spoke Spanish and she was like, "Oh wow, I speak Spanish too!" We were surprised and it turns out that she is half Mexican, which was more surprising because she looks very gringa. We were excited because she lives here with her non-member (Hispanic) family that we wanted to start teaching. A couple days later the Bishop tells us that hat she actually isn't a member of the church.... Yet.... Haha it was so awesome and exciting! And miraculous.

Well I love you all and thank you so much for all that you do for me! I hope you have a wonderful week and continue to see miracles in your lives as well. Below I pasted the link to my new favorite Mormon Message. Check it out! CON AMOR! Élder Connor Waldrón
