Christmas Week

Hola a mi familia y a mis amigos!

I hope that you all had a great Christmas Week! I know that we did here in Great Bend. On Christmas Eve night we ate at a members home where we had a great evening. Christmas morning we opened presents as a district and then cooked a nice breakfast. Later on Christmas Day we ate at our mission leader's home. Overall it was a good day.

Other highlights from this Christmas week. We visited a recent convert this week. Her name is Katherine and she had lost contact with the missionaries because she moved into Larned State Hospital. She has some mental illnesses and is staying there until she can be more stable. She is very lonely and bored though and was very happy and grateful when we visited her this week. We visited her at the first of the week. She asked us to bring some literature for her to read so we got some books like Gospel Principles, Our Heritage, Daughters in my Kingdom, and others and we wrapped them and took them to her on Christmas Eve. She was so happy.

Also this week Shae called us on Christmas Eve to wish us a Merry Christmas, that was nice.

We got to play to Secret Santa this year for a missionary in our district. His packages from his parents hadn't arrived on time so we got him a few dollar tree gifts and wrapped them so he had something to open on Christmas.

Looking forward to the new year, we heard a lot this Sunday about how don't be like Lot's Wife this year because the best is yet to come. That's so true, isn't it?

Love you all! Élder Connor Waldrón
