The Holy Ghost

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week and that you are looking forward to the coming fall because I know I am. We had so many amazing experience this week with following the promptings of the spirit. It all started on Wednesday when we had Zone Conference. The bottom line that it all came down to is that we are nothing without the Spirit. We were all asked to reread Chapter 4 from Preach My Gospel, which you all know is about following and recognizing the Spirit. It's an amazing chapter that deserves study. I'm going to share some miracles that happened this week as a result of greater focus on desiring to feel and follow the Spirit. 1: We were somewhat lost at what we should do and so we decided to pray. Two thoughts came into my mind. Earlier I had seen the truck of a former investigator at her house, I wanted to visit her (she was a former because she had kind of fallen off the face of the earth), but I felt we should go see our mission leader at his house. I presented these two things to my companion and we decided to go see if the investigator was home. When we arrived her truck was no longer there... so we drove towards our mission leader's home. While we were driving we saw the former investigator outside at a house! We stopped and went and talked to her. We had a good lesson and got in recontact with her but also talked about coming back to the house she was at and teaching her friend that lives there. After that we went to our mission leader's house. Almost as soon as we stepped on his porch he came out and was like where were you guys?! I needed you here so badly! Apparently a less active had just been at his house that he felt like he couldn't handle the situation and wanted our help. The less active had left 5 minutes before we showed up. My heart sank. Yes we had seen the miracle of recontacting the investigator and such, but if we had followed the original impression from the beginning to go see the mission leader we would have seen the former and would have arrived in time to talk to the less active with our mission leader. Fortunately we went over to the less active's house on Saturday with our mission leader and had great success. The less active went to women's conference that night, church the next day, and also fed us that yesterday. 2: We were trying to contact potentials/less actives on Saturday and weren't having very much luck. We walked back to our car and there was a couple working on fixing up a house at the house we had parked in front of (well the husband was working on the house the wife was sitting on the porch). I hesitated going to talk to them at first but luckily we went and talked to them. The wife was extremely interested. She had seen Mormon Missionaries before in Mexico and she wanted to know what the Mormon Church taught. She had heard that the Mormons believed that Jesus had come to Americas after he was resurrected, but didn't understand why. We were more than happy to explain that to her as well as the rest of the Restoration. She was very pleased to finally know. She made a point that she wanted to learn more and that next time she would be asking about the difference between us and the Jehovah's Witnesses. That was a really amazing miracle we saw as well. The Spirit has never lead me astray and I know it will never lead any of you astray either. We will never regret following his promptings! Love you all, thanks for everything you do!
