Power of the Priesthood

The highlight of our week this week was when a member introduced us to one of his coworkers that wanted a blessing.

Hermano Fernandez works in the military and I guess his coworkers know that he is religious. One of his coworkers Dario talked with him about his family. Dario seems superstitious which is not unusual for people with Hispanic background. He was worried about dark evil things following his family and bothering them. Pretty scary... I don't know if Hmo. Fernandez or Dario was the one that brought up priesthood blessings but one of them did and Dario accepted to have us come over.

We went over and explained the priesthood to Dario and his family. We gave a blessing to him, his wife, his sister-in-law, and his son. At the end of the blessings we ended with a prayer blessing the home as well. It was a really neat experience! The family loved it and Dario commented on how everything felt a lot better now. We testified about the priesthood because it is real and we felt its power

We have plans now to have a family home evening Tuesday night with the Fernandez and Dario's family. I definitely feel like Dario and his family are prepared to receive the gospel! This is the power of working with members! This is why every member should always be a missionary! It's the best way.

I know this Branch is starting to get excited about missionary work (at least I hope so!). The Fernandez family are definitely ready to do missionary work and it just starts with one family being excited to get everybody else excited too! We have some pretty fun sounding activities coming up, I'll keep you posted on how they go. And on the random fact, I've taught one of the Fernandez kids how to play piano a little bit, it's actually fun.

Anyway, sorry it's a shorty, but it's all I have right now. I hope all are doing well and have a awesome week next week.

Be Good, Live Well, Love a lot

Love,

Elder Waldron
