Good Week

Hello everybody we had such a good week here in Topeka!

First off, there was a lot of overcast this week so we enjoyed a lot more shade and lower temperatures!

Last week I wrote about a lady named Liliana who said she knew the Book of Mormon is true. Unfortunately she is working two jobs currently, but when school starts she'll go back to only working one and be able to meet with us more regularly in the evenings. We've contacted her as much as we could this week and saw her a couple times. She has this big dog that doesn't do anything, but it does bark at us when we we walk up to the door. My companion is terrified of it so he stays on the other side of the gate and waits for me to go in the yard and knock on the door. Then Liliana comes out and I talk to her and say, "El tiene miedo del perro." (He's afraid of the dog). Then she's like, "no hace nada!" (It doesn't do anything) and then it will stop barking and Elder Rojas will come up to the door with me. Making more progress with the dog too though, yesterday I got it to stop barking and to smell and lick my hand while I was waiting for someone to answer the door.

Also this week we've been progressing an investigator named Orlando. We had a really good lesson with him last week on the restoration. He believes it and committed to baptism! We had a church tour with him this Thursday and he really felt the spirit so strongly. Unfortunately we lost contact with him Sunday morning and haven't been able to contact him since then. So pray this week we can find him!

One of the investigators we found this week is named Leo. He is the brother of a returning less active/recent convert, Jorge. They both came to church on Sunday so that was really great! Actually there was a lot more people than usual at church this Sunday (even with two of large families that always attend absent). Many less actives, semi-active members, and investigators were there! It made me very happy!

Thanks for all your love and support!

Les quiero!
